Code of Conduct
Last updated on November 27, 2019
tl;dr
- Wheaton’s Law: Don’t be a dick.
- You know when you’re being a dick.
- The site administrators have the final say on whether you’re being a dick, and what measures we plan to take to deal with it.
The Details
This Code of Conduct governs all users’ behavior while visiting the Cosmique Movie Awards, CosmoMovieAwards.com, as well as our social media networking webpages, mobile applications and other software applications (the “Services”).

In addition, you are prohibited from removing any sponsorship banners or other material inserted by us anywhere on the Services (e.g., on any web space made available for your personal use).
We encourage voters to participate in the nomination process as well as voting for the winners. We reserve the right to disqualify votes that appear to be trying to game the system or disrupt the community we’re trying to build here.
- If an individual votes multiple times with the same email address, we will assume that the most recent vote is intended to replace older submissions. The most recent vote will be retained while the older votes will be discarded and will not be tallied.
- If we believe an individual is attempting to vote multiple times through the use of multiple email addresses, we may at our own judgement contact the individual for clarification or simply disqualify the votes.
- If we believe that people are not in keeping with the general vibe we’re seeking, such as voting for an anti-gay documentary for Best LGBTQ Film, we may choose to disqualify those votes at our discretion (see About Us and Voting for more details trying to disrupt the voting community).
