Synopsis

The Power of the Dog was the big winner at the 2021 Cosmique Movie Awards, winning six of its 11 nominations, including Best Film, Best Director (Jane Campion), Best Actor (Jane Campion), Best Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch), and Best Supporting Actor (Kodi Smit-McPhee).

It was followed by Dune and West Side Story, which each won four awards. Dune, which was nominated for 12 awards, took home trophies for Best Science Fiction Film and Favorite Male Heroic Character (Timothée Chalamet). West Side Story, which had been up for nine awards, won Best Musical, Best Supporting Actress (Ariana DeBose), and Best Ensemble.

The Philadelphia Story (1940) was inducted into the Best Films Lifetime Achievement Hall of Fame. Angela Lansbury and Daniel Day-Lewis were inducted into the Actress and Actor Halls of Fame, respectively, while Katherine Helmond and Jonathan Winters were inducted into the respective Comedic Halls of Fame.

The biggest shutout went to Eternals, which lost all 10 of its nominations. The record is still held by The Departed, which lost all 12 nominations.
