RIP Terry Jones

Hall of Fame nominee John Cleese is paying tribute to fellow Monty Python star Terry Jones, saying that Jones was “the most multi-talented member of the Pythons.” Jones passed away at the age of 77 on January 21. [BBC]

New Bond nemesis

Entertainment Weekly provides us with a quick peek at Rami Malek as Safin, the new villain in Daniel Craig’s (final?) James Bond film, No Time to Die, which is being released on April 10. Craig has won one of his three individual Cosmo nods, all for playing Bond. Malek won Best Actor last year for playing Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. [EW]

Spock’s new beau?

Zachary Quinto, who famously came out in 2011 after the suicide of gay teen Jamey Rodemeyer, might be dating 13 Reason Why’s Brandon Flynn. Quinto hasn’t received an individual Cosmo nomination yet, but when he does, he will share in an ensemble win and another ensemble nomination for his performance as Spock in the rebooted Star Trek franchise. Flynn came out in 2017 in an Instagram post and subsequently dated Sam Smith (who won a Best Original Song Oscar for Spectre) and possibly Richard Madden of Game of Thrones and Rocketman. Grace, Karen, Jack … and Lucy

We absolutely cannot wait to see the upcoming Will & Grace episode that will show the cast re-enacting scenes from three classic episodes of I Love Lucy. Eric McCormack (Will) will play Ricky Ricardo in all three vignettes. Debbra Messing will play Lucy in the “Vitameatavegamin” scene, while Megan Mullally (Karen) will play her in the grape-stomping episode and Sean Hayes (Jack) will play her in the chocolate factory scene. Messing received a Cosmo nomination at the 2018 awards for Searching. Mullally received a Best Comedic Actress Hall of Fame nomination the same year. And Lucille Ball herself was the second inductee into the Best Comedic Actress Hall of Fame. No word yet on when the Lucy episode will air. [Today.com]
